This project involves the manufacturing, transportation and installation of approximately 39000 precast concrete tunnel segments. The segments will be produced at Avonmouth tunnel precast factory, transported through a multi-modal logistics network (truck and train interfaces), stored across 4 facilities (TPF, Railhead, ACA and TLC), ultimately installed within three TBMs serving two intake tunnels and one outfall tunnel configuration.
This operation requires complete end-to-end visibility from the moment a segment is cast until it is installed within the tunnel structure. Currently, critical gaps exist in reporting, quality traceability, inventory discrepancies, and segment tracking across the supply chain.
